- Come and discover one of the most important mining sites in the Southern Alps.
The tour, which lasts 1h30 in total, including 1h in the Mine along a 900 m route, takes you from medieval galleries dug by fire to modern galleries blasted by explosives. You'll also get a panoramic view and explanations of the old mining hamlet as you climb up to the Mine entrance. You can complete your visit in the museum area and by strolling outdoors along the heritage interpretation trail. - One guided tour per Pass.
Duration: 1h30 including 1h in the mine.
May 13 to June 30 and September 1 to October 4: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, 3pm and 5pm.
July 1 to August 31: daily at 11 am, 3 pm and 5 pm.
Closed shoes and warm clothing mandatory (10° C in the mine). Not recommended for people in poor health. Children aged 6 and over are not allowed inside the mine. Helmets are provided for all visitors. Headlamps are not permitted, as the tour is illuminated.
You'll need to leave your vehicle at Lac des Mesces and walk 20 minutes to the site. (Difference in altitude 100 m) Visits in foreign languages by prior arrangement: English, Italian. Dogs are not allowed inside the mine.
