Musée du Carnaval

146 chemin Las Ayas, 06390 Contes
  • Born of the passion of the carnival's owner, this museum is the first and only of its kind in France! Its vocation is to revive everyone's memories, by tracing the evolution and history of this popular carnival art form.

We open the doors of the Carnival Museum, which houses the largest collection of "Niçoise carnival" items in a dedicated 500 m2 workshop. Stories and legends, how it works, miniature floats, master paintings and more. A whole world to discover as you visit. Take a photo and slip into a big head, while Sébastien reveals a few of his manufacturing secrets.
  • One entry per pass. All year round.
Tuesday to Friday, 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Saturday 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm. Please phone before visiting: 06 89 20 17 64. In winter: bring warm clothing.
