On the heights of the old quarter of Suquet overlooking La Croisette, the Bay of Cannes and the Lérins islands, the Musée des Explorations du Monde is a museum of archaeology and ethnography.
The Musée des Explorations du Monde is home to primitive art collections from the Himalayas/Tibet, Oceania, pre-Columbian America, musical instruments from around the world (Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas), Mediterranean antiques and 19th-century paintings and objects from the East. Its square 12th-century tower offers breath-taking views over Cannes and the surrounding area.
