Hartung Bergman Foundation

173, chemin du Valbosquet, 06600 Antibes
  • Created in 1994, the Hartung-Bergman Foundation was born of the lives and wishes of two of the most important painters of modern art: Hans Hartung (1904 - 1989) and Anna-Eva Bergman (1909 - 1987).
In the 1960s, the two artists acquired a two-hectare olive grove in the hills above Antibes, where they built their villa and studios.

This site, where they lived and worked until the end of their lives, is now a foundation that preserves an exceptional collection of works and archives.
The aim of this institution is to familiarize a varied public - from Antibes schoolchildren to discerning researchers, art historians and curious visitors - with the work of Hans Hartung, a pioneer of informal, gestural abstraction marked by the horrors of war, and Anna-Eva Bergman, a talented draughtswoman turned artist of genius.
  • One guided tour of the exhibition "Les voix de leurs oeuvres" per Pass.
May to September. Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm.
Access for people with reduced mobility.
    No parking, please park outside.
Pass validation at the Foundation entrance.
